Tarah Hogue
care in curation, care in writing about artists' work, caring for myself while caring for plants and animals, informal dialogue
Tarah Hogue is a curator, writer and cultural worker based in unceded Coast Salish territories/Vancouver BC. She is a citizen of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
“The Cree word for hummingbird means boss. I recently learned that Anna's Hummingbirds used to migrate south from Vancouver in the winter. They no longer do because of climate change but also because people leave feeders out in winter. Humans and hummingbirds are now more intimately connected than ever. I regularly clean and replace the sugar water in my hummingbird feeder and sit outside each morning to visit with these birds.”
